What To Expect
Your private tour of the Harvard Museum of Natural History will focus on two main themes:
- Historicity vs Modernity: Just about everything in the museum is a balance between a preservation of historical discoveries and a desire to showcase those discoveries in a modern, exciting way.

How to Book/Cancellation Policy
Select Book Now to submit your booking request by completing our simple order form. We will respond same-day if submitted during business hours. Please allow 48 hours if submitted on the weekend.
For our standard tour, payment is due at least 24 hours prior to your tour. For half-day, full-day or multi-day programs, payment is due 7 days prior to your event. If you need to cancel, we will credit your payment towards any future tour.
How do I book a tour or event?
For private tours the best way to book a tour is to click “Book Now” and fill out the order form. You will receive a response within 24 hours. (Please allow until Monday for requests sent on the weekend). A Trademark representative will personally attend to your questions and requests, and we will work with you to set up the perfect tour or package for your group.
For our public tours, click "Buy Tickets" to select your ticket and tour time. Complete the checkout process then bring your printed or digital ticket to the tour start.

Do I have to pay immediately in order to book?
Our ordering process for private group tours does not require immediate payment. After you submit a booking request you will receive a service confirmation and an invoice. Invoices can be paid by check or credit card in advance of the tour. If you are booking a custom package, camp, workshop or conference, deposits may be required. However, you can still make these initial bookings without immediate payment. Payment can be made up to 7 days in advance of a Private Tour.
How far in advance do you accept reservations?
We accept reservations up to one year in advance. We usually accommodate reservations with as little as 24-hours notice.
How long is a standard tour?
Our Public Tours last 70 minutes, and span about a mile of walking.
Private Tours typically last 90 minutes. The duration is flexible; we can make our tour longer or shorter depending on your schedule. We can also package tours, dining and attractions for longer visits.
Who typically takes your tours?
We serve all ages and group types. We are especially popular among students, families, corporate groups, and international groups. Special tour content can be customized for groups upon request.
Are your tours offered in multiple languages?
For private tours we offer tours and interpretive services in a number of languages including Mandarin, Japanese, Spanish & French. These tours must be reserved at least 1 week in advance and are subject to availability.
For public tours we offer full-text translations in Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Mandarin, which includes photographs of each stop, allowing foreign language speaking guests to read along with the tour guide in their native language. Translations are provided free of charge, upon request, to guests who have purchased tickets for The Hahvahd Tour.

Yes, we can accommodate groups of any size transportation including coach buses, trolleys, turtle-tops vans, private cars, limousine rentals and even school buses!

Yes, we work with local hotels, inns and student dorms to provide convenient options for our groups. Group discounts are available.
