Harvard students founded Trademark Tours in 2006, although as guides they often viewed their school through the lens of outsiders. Using only their iconic straw hats, handheld signs, and booming voices, they spent the summer attracting tourists throughout Harvard Square to join them for 70 minutes of hilarious history and insider knowledge.
Today, we are the leading tour operator serving Harvard and MIT. Our clients include some of the largest tour operators in the world such as The Travel Corporation, EF Education, TUI Travel, New Oriental, and Disney. In 2013, Trademark Tours was honored as a Massachusetts Small Business of the Year. In 2014 we became the official Harvard Tour of the Boston Duck Tours. In 2018 our founder was named to the Board of Directors of the Greater Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Cambridge Office of Tourism.
The Hahvahd Tour was our very first tour product. This tour was created to provide an entertaining experience for Harvard’s tourists. Seven days a week, all year long, our ambassadors and tour guides are the welcoming face of Harvard right outside the Harvard T Station. In 2016 we launched a similar tour of MIT, which leaves from Kendall Square. These tours are referred to as our Public Tours.
In 2007, we also began offering Private Group Tours of Harvard and MIT. Student groups, business groups, senior groups and graduate schools can book customizable private group tours. Our private group tours are scheduled in advance and are offered year-round.
All of our tours are scripted to be educational and entertaining. Our tour script is divided up into unique units called stages. By learning all the stages guides can easily give both public tours and private tours. Our tour guides are all current Harvard & MIT Students who love performing and sharing their passion for Harvard & MIT with visitors from around the world.”
